6 shirts from 2008 that have aged really well
7 hours ago
Inspired by the club’s first jersey, the Liverpool 2017/18 away shirt is a modern day classic. The shirt features a unique quartered pinstripe green and white design, reminiscent of the Reds’ first ever home shirt from 1892. Jurgen Klopp’s side will take to the road in a shirt which marks the 125th anniversary of the club, in a similar style to that of the shirt from the 1995/96 season. A special commemorative Liver bird crest sits on the heart of the shirt and combines well with the black New Balance and Standard Chartered sponsor logos. As with the home shirt, and recent seasons, the club continues to pay respect to those who lost their lives in the Hillsborough disaster with the 96 emblem on the back of the neck. The addition of a smart, black, ribbed neckline ensures the shirt remains comfortable and prevents irritation. Using NB Dry technology, it releases moisture away from the body, meaning faster drying whether you’re on the pitch or watching on from the stands. With Klopp’s men qualifying for the Champions League in the previous season, the LFC faithful will hope the shirt can be remembered for more great European away nights. The Liverpool 17/18 away top combines an iconic design with modern shirt technology, the perfect nod to the past for today’s fans.
