Every so often a group of players from one nation come together and produce something special. After seeing their neighbours Spain and Germany take centre stage over recent years, France are ready to take up the mantle. Not only is this current French team stacked (especially in the final third), but the bulk of their talent is very, very young. It seems almost unfair that Kylian Mbappé, Ousmane Dembélé, Nabil Fekir and Antoine Griezmann are all in the same team, and it’s a team which is set for greatness many years from now too.
With France’s home and away shirts, Nike have done a superb job. The home features a classic one-button collar and sleeve detailing in a contrasting blue to the main body of the shirt. Things go up a notch for the away shirt, with an innovative and modern marl fabric creating a unique look which is one of the most effective at the World Cup. France are two years more mature since their final heartbreak at the Euros, and that is a dangerous thing for any side that faces them in Russia.
