The start of a new Premier League season delivers fresh optimism and the latest range of club merchandise.
As well as those highly-anticipated home, away and third matchday kits, the 2019/20 campaign will also see the biggest stars donning the latest training wear.
Whether it’s jackets, tops, trousers or full tracksuits, fans love the gear their idols wear as they prepare for kick-off. But what new training wear is out there available on the market and where can each product be purchased?
We’ve had a rummage through each of the Premier League top-six’s wardrobes to highlight some jackets, shirts and bottoms from their 2019/20 training range…
Kit Manufacturer: adidas
Arsenal 2019/20 Pre-Match Shirt
This shirt, which fans see the players train and warm-up in is not only stylish but also environmentally friendly. By looking at its ocean colour scheme it’s not too surprising to find out that the product is part of adidas' For The Oceans campaign. As a result the top is made using 100% polyester that has been reclaimed from the shore before reaching the ocean, therefore helping reduce plastic pollution.
On the technical side it features Climalite technology to keep the wearer dry in all conditions, something every Gooner needs on those sometimes sweaty, nervy matchdays.
Arsenal 2019/20 Warm Training Top
This warm top is not something fans will see until the winter months, but nonetheless it remains a leading item in Arsenal’s 2019 training range.
A slim fit product with a wind resistant overlay, adidas’ Climawarm technology and high polar fleece neck keeps the body warm, dry and fully protected on those cold Tuesday nights (even in Burnley). There’s also elastic fabric inserts at both the elbows and sided to deliver better movement – great for explosive players such as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette.
Arsenal 2019/20 Training Tracksuit Bottoms
Worn by the players to keep their legs warm before kick-off, these adidas tracksuit bottoms are dominated by the brand’s iconic three-stripe design. Made of soft recycled polyester, the Climacool ventilation keeps players dry no matter how hard the pre-match routine.
Cut for a slim fit to eliminate any distracting excess material, whilst valuables and opponents can also be kept safely in its side seam zip pockets.

Chelsea 2019/20 I96 Jacket
This beautiful jacket is perfect for all Blues fans and can be worn for both training and on a casual basis. New boss Frank Lampard wears something similar (blue stripe on white rather than white stripe on blue) and the thick knit polyester would’ve helped keep him comfortable as he beds into the Stamford Bridge hotseat.
Ribbed cuffs, collar and hem keep the wearer warm but the full length zipper means there’s the option to embrace the elements.
Chelsea 2019/20 Breathe Strike Training Top
Although made in the familiar style of Nike’s training shirts, which they produce for a number of clubs, the blue and black combination really makes this an attractive, modern-looking product. Lightweight with stretch sleeves, it allows for various movements while also keeping players cool and dry even at full speed.
Chelsea 2019/20 VaporKnit Strike Pants
Pair the Strike Training Top with the Vapor Knot Strike Pants to get the full training look. Made from lightweight, high-stretch material, the trousers wick sweat away from the legs quickly.
Even in the most intense training match, the slim fit Strike Pants will keep the players cool and comfortable. Meanwhile a Flyvent waistband will even keep the agile Christian Pulisic snug when dribbling and turning with the ball.

Liverpool 2019/20 Pre-Game Jersey
If it didn’t have a different sponsor this pre-game top could almost be confused for being the official home kit. Engineered with NB DRY technology to keep the Champions League winners dry and warm before a game, this is a lightweight polyester product.
As well as the usual club crest and logos, this shirt features heat transfer ‘Megaspeed’ graphics on the cuffs and the legendary Bob Paisley’s signature inscribed on the inside neck.
Liverpool 2019/20 Vector Speed Top
One for the speed kings such as Mo Salah and Sadio Mane, this streamlined top has been designed with movement and agility firmly in mind. A polyester upper is woven in barcode marl and accompanied by a mesh chest with DWR material overlay, making for an extremely lightweight product.
Visually it comes with a ‘Megaspeed’ graphic on the sleeves, Vector Speed detail on the back and a quarter zip that will definitely be fully done up over the festive period.
Liverpool 2019/20 On Pitch Slim Pants
Available in black and Liverpool’s familiar red, these polyester trousers are designed for comfort. To be worn during those all-important warm ups or even when relaxing around the home, they feature zip hem openings which can be adjusted to suit the wearer’s requirements. All valuables can be kept safe in the two zip pockets, while a Y Elasticated waistband with drawcord that can be adapted to deliver the perfect fit.

Manchester City 2019/20 Stadium League Jacket
Stadium jackets are something that have only really been introduced at Premier League clubs over the past few seasons. Designed to keep players warm on the long walk from the dressing room to the pitch and during the pre-match anthem, Man City’s 19/20 version is very attractive on the eye.
Constructed from 100% warp knitted polyester, this full length zipped product is equipped with PUMA dryCELL technology to wick moisture away from the body.
Manchester City 2019/20 Stadium Jersey
We’ve opted to highlight this particular Cityzens’ training top due to its striking pink and black colour scheme. Just like the stadium jacket it is made from 100% warp knitted polyester and comes with PUMA dryCELL technology.
Cut to a regular fit to suit all shapes and body sizes, fans can get the pre-match Sergio Aguero, Kevin de Bruyne or Raheem Sterling look with this eye-catching PUMA shirt.
Manchester City 2019/20 Shorts
For the bottoms we’ve opted for shorts this time. That may seem a very brave decision when taking into account the unpredictable British weather but in recent years the sun has, metaphorically, always been shining on the blue half of Manchester.
Combining functionality with style, these regular fit shorts are made from comfortable polyester microfiber double knit shell fabric. Added to that, PUMA dryCELL technology is again present to keep moisture away from the champions’ legs, while an elasticated waistband and draw cord can be adjusted to suit each player.

Manchester United 2019/20 Anthem Jacket
Belt out United chants from the Stretford End or in the local wearing the Red Devils’ eye-catching and comfortable Anthem Jacket. A twill bomber jacket with pique lining, it’s stylish enough to don on many different occasions. With Manchester United taped down the sleeves, adidas have tried creating a product with a twist on tradition.
As well as looking sharp, the jacket’s zipped side pockets and full length zipper make it very functional too.
Manchester United 2019/20 Training Top
This blue United training top has Juan Mata in December written all over it. The first sweatshirt we’ve opted to highlight in our guide, this environmentally friendly 100% recycled polyester mesh product will allow the players to excel in all conditions.
Although slim fit for a snug, warm feel, the Climacool ventilation still allows the body to breath and stay at an optimum temperature. The sweatshirt’s thumbholes also eradicate that awkward moment the manager asks why gloves are needed in August.
Manchester United 2019/20 Training Tracksuit Bottoms
We’re back to long bottoms now with United’s latest slim fit Training Tracksuit Bottoms. Black with solid grey adidas stripes, the soft 100% polyester double knit fabric with Climacool ventilation keeps each player cool and dry when working up a sweat.
Part of adidas’ environmentally friendly range, these trousers have ankle zips, side seam zip pockets, an elastic waist, mesh inserts on legs and ribbed inserts on the lower leg.

Tottenham Hotspur 2019/20 Elite Drill Training Top
A very different style compared to the other five clubs’ products, Tottenham’s Elite Drill Training Top features Nike VaporKnit technology. The light high-stretch fabric and streamlined Fast Fit technology, which follows the shape of the body, help maximise mobility, meaning it won’t hamper the likes of Son Heung-min and Lucas Moura. It also comes with invisible thumb loops and a quarter length zip which will both become very useful in those winter months.
Tottenham Hotspur 2019/20 Warm Up T-Shirt
You certainly won’t have any trouble seeing the 2019 Champions League finalists when they get ready for the match in this mesmerising top which screams Spurs.
Featuring Nike Dri-Fit technology, this 100% polyester product will keep the players warm during their first full season at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Body-mapping fabric construction makes sure the wearer will not overheat as ventilation zones, which have been strategically placed, keep the body cool even in the most vigorous routines.
Tottenham Hotspur 2019/20 Strike Pants
Nothing will come between the players and the ball when wearing these slim fit Strike Pants during the warm-up. Made with stretchy fabric they also possess Dri-FIT Technology to keep the lower half dry and comfortable.
