Real Madrid Unveil New 2018/19 Adidas Third Kit
The Three Stripes have done it again, producing another beautiful football kit made from Parley Ocean Plastic.
It looks as though adidas are going big on their partnership with Parley For The Oceans this season.
Following in the footsteps of Juventus and Manchester United, Real Madrid have become the latest European giant to release a kit produced from Parley Ocean Plastic. Unveiled at a fantastic launch event in New York early last week, this latest design simply reinforces the fact that adidas are trying to incite positive change.
For those that aren’t sure, Parley For The Oceans are an organisation dedicated to addressing major threats to our oceans. They aim to tackle the current plastic pollution issues, encouraging consumers to decrease the amount of plastic they’re throwing away; and have engineered their own revolutionary, eco-friendly plastic materials.
So, using this material with one of the biggest clubs on the planet is a pretty big deal. We all know that Real Madrid kits sell in droves, so this is certainly a big step in the right direction for adidas.
But it isn’t just about protecting the oceans and the wildlife that lives within them, because this football kit also happens to be downright beautiful. Not content with trying to save the planet, it looks as though adidas have gone out of their way to truly reflect the vibrancy of this Real Madrid side.
The bold red colourway oozes a confidence that only Los Blancos can really pull off, while it also pays homage to the dazzling shades of coral. Inspired by the ocean, for the ocean: this is much more than just a football kit.
A subtle all-over graphic adds a certain depth to the strong coral shades, while the logos and sponsors look absolutely fantastic in white. Adidas have opted for a V-neck collar, and the look is finished off by coral-coloured shorts and socks.
There’s no arguing Madrid have been riding the waves of change already this summer, following the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus; but we hope that these revolutionary football kits are met with a much more positive reaction.
