The Best 2018/19 Premier League Goalkeeper Kits

The men between the sticks will be rocking some serious style this season. But who’s got the best kit?

The Best 2018/19 Premier League Goalkeeper Kits

It’s fair to say there have been some rather colourful goalkeeper kits down the years. Throughout the 1990’s, we were treated to an endless cycle of extravagant colour combinations and outrageous patterns, as the biggest brands on the planet did a little experimenting. The likes of David Seaman and Claudio Taffarel became iconic in these fantastically garish designs; while the Japanese goalkeeper kit of World Cup ‘98 will always live long in the memory.

However, things have died down a little in the goalkeeper department recently, and we’d argue that many modern designs just don’t get the level of attention they deserve. Thankfully, the latest Premier League goalkeeper kits aim to resolve that particular issue, because the big brands have all come up with some absolute stunners.

There’s no doubt adidas have outdone themselves with their 2018/19 Wolves kits- and the new goalkeeper jerseys are certainly no exception.

Both the home and away keeper kits feature a distinctive striped pattern across the front of the shirt, with the bold W88 and Three Stripes logos standing out in greys and whites. The home goalkeeper jersey incorporates a stylish blue colourway, while the away kit opts for a much bolder combination of pink and black.

The result is two striking football kits which slot in seamlessly with the rest of this adidas collection. Very nice indeed.

David De Gea looks set to wear green yet again this season- after all, you’ve got to say it’s proven to be a lucky colour so far.

The 2018/19 Man United goalkeeper kit comes complete with a subtle striped pattern across the front of the shirt, while the famous Three Stripes stand out prominently in black on the shoulders- but sadly don’t run all the way down the long sleeves.

While the jury is still out on the main United home kit, you’ve got to say this is yet another smart, stylish number for the best goalkeeper in the world.

Wow, just wow.

The new Spurs goalkeeper kit looks like it’s stepped right out of the 1990’s, hit us all with a serious case of nostalgia, and then been given a more contemporary makeover. Nike have opted for a bold dark purple colourway, but it’s the fluorescent green detailing that really brings the shirt to life.

The famous Spurs cockerel, Nike Swoosh and AIA sponsor stand out vibrantly on the front of the shirt; while a unique, futuristic stripe design runs up and down the sleeves. Although it might not be quite as outrageous as those other 90’s kits, you’ve got to applaud Nike for coming up with something a little different.

Love it or hate it, the third Liverpool goalkeeper kit certainly makes an impression.

Displaying a bold, almost garish, pink colourway, the new design features a distinctive dotted graphic all over the sleeves, while the sponsors and logo are printed in black. It’s a simple, in-your-face jersey that actually hurts the eyes after a while, but we’re all for New Balance trying something a little more adventurous.
