Gone are the days where professional players had a pair of sturdy leather studded football boots that lasted them their whole career. Now, new generations of cleats are rolling out the doors of the biggest brands’ warehouses quicker than a ‘96 pace’ rating on FIFA. Let’s take a look at the players who found the boots they can’t go without:

Although the Chelsea striker plays his official matches in brand new Adidas X17 boots, he is never seen in training in anything but his beloved Adidas F50 Adizero, dating all the way back to 2011.
It goes to show that when you find the perfect pair that matches your style of play, it can be difficult to tear yourself away from them. His choice to swap in official matches is probably to do with his sponsorship deal with Adidas: it’s hard to separate a man from his boots.
