Nike launch Mercurial Victory VI based on the CR7 Vitórias
This week Nike released a Mercurial Victory VI inspired by Cristiano Ronaldo's limited edition Vitórias Superfly. We've taken a closer look.
Having released the limited edition Vitórias Mercurial Superfly CR7 back in December, Nike have decided to roll out the commemorative treatment upon the much more affordable Mercurial Victory model.
The Vitórias was released to celebrate Cristiano Ronaldo's achievements during 2016. With a Champions League title, Euro 2016 winners medal, and fourth Ballon d'Or under his belt, it seemed fitting Nike should release a Mercurial colourway oozing class, with tasteful and high-end aesthetics.
However, with only 777 pairs available worldwide and a price tag only hardcore boot collectors could afford, the Vitórias model was out of many people's reach. With so many Ronaldo fans clamouring for a piece of the Real Madrid star, it made sense for Nike to replicate the Vitórias design onto the Victory model of the Mercurial.
How much is the Mercurial Victory VI Special Edition CR7?
Retailing at £75.00, this special edition release gives Ronaldo fans the opportunity to don this sophisticated colourway without breaking the bank. With a white pinstriped upper and gold coloured soleplate, the Victory still carries a high end look, while featuring all the Victory technology you'd expect. A synthetic leather construction promotes durability, support and enhanced touch. In addition, the Dynamic Fit Flyknit collar adds a breathable locked in fit. The TPU soleplate also offers grip and traction on firm-ground (FG) surfaces, meaning you'll be ready to propel yourself in every direction possible. Sound too good to be true? Take a look for yourself.
